Forget barback

Well, it turns out I know a little more about bars and booze than I thought. My first night was great, and I am officially the newest bartender at Zero. So that's that. I'm a bartender in Prague.

My first job in Prague

I start tomorrow night at club Zero. She asked if I wanted to start as a bartender, however I said I better just check it out first and try work as a bar back to begin with. I don't have too much experience, but I do like to drink, so does that count?

I work from 8pm - 6am. Soooooo, no goign out for me. I guess I will be out already, I heard it's a party for everyone there. At least it's not the original position I applied for: coatroom girl. And the advice I was given, 'at least you can make some real money then, you know, pockets?!?'

Winter job

This is where I will be working for a short part of winter, actually not until February, so I suppose it is actually my end of winter job. I am excited!

In the meantime, I've got a job for the weekends and possibly a job at a vintage clothing store. I really, really hope I get a phone call about that soon. I've decided to apply for regular teaching jobs this week, after getting rejected at the preschools. It turns out they need people with experience with toddlers, imagine that. Oh well! I'm getting by just fine, I can't wait to bond with my 4-6 new roommates later. Ha. I love my life so much sometimes, that part is definitely the highlight right now. I have no idea who actually lives there. I just know I have a giant room with my few meager belongings in it, and there are other rooms, with other people's things and the other people in them.
